Mappa CEO hopes to adapt all of “Chainsaw man” manga!

MAPPA CEO Manabu Ohtsuka told IGN France in an interview at Crunchyroll Expo that he has read all of the works of author Tatsuki Fujimoto and is interested in making movies from them someday. However, currently the studio is focusing on “Chainsaw Man” (Demon Hunter).

The interview also confirmed that there are currently no concrete plans for other Fujimoto manga adaptations at the studio. The CEO added that he hopes to be able to adapt the second part of the” Chainsaw Man” (Demon Hunter) manga at some time.

Author Fujimoto was born on October 10, 1992, in Nikaho, Akita, Japan. He started learning to draw very early. Since there was no college prep school near his home, he went to a painting class that his grandfather used to take and learned oil painting. He graduated with a degree in Western Painting from Tohoku University of Art and Design in Yamagata, Yamagata in 2014.
