“Collar X Malice” – Saving Shinjuku City

Idea Factory’s Otomate franchise has announced that its game “Collar x Malice” will get an anime film adaptation in theaters in 2023. The film’s teaser has also been announced.

The brutal attack of a terrorist organization has left you armed with a deadly souvenir – a poisonous collar attached to your neck that could end your life at any time. With the situation increasingly out of control and time running out, five mysterious strangers appear to aid you in your quest for the truth. Who can you trust? Can you save yourself and the soul of Shinjuku from the clutches of oblivion? In a city bound by evil, you are the only hope for salvation!

Otomate released the original otome visual novel in Japan in August 2016, and Aksys Games released the game in English in July 2017. 

The Switch versions of both “Collar x Malice”  and “Collar x Malice Unlimited”  were released in Japan in March 2020. The English version of “Collar x Malice Unlimited”  shipped in North America that same August.
