New Cast for “Prima Doll” anime

The official website for Visual Arts/Key’s mixed media project “Prima Doll” announced on Saturday that the anime has cast Tomoyo Kurosawa as Haikagura, an automata that Karasuba found at the station and brought home.

The anime’s cast also includes:

• Azumi Waki as Haizakura
• Tomori Kusunoki as Karasuba
• Miyu Tomita as Gekka
• Yuki Nakashima as Hokiboshi
• Akari Kito as Retzel
• Ayumu Murase as Nagi Toma
• Misaki Kuno as Chiyo
• Ayaka Suwa as Otome Okunomiya
• Mikako Komatsu as Yugiri

The production team includes:

• Director: Tensho
• Studio: Bibury Animation Studio
• Screenplay and series composition: Toya Okano and KAI
• Characters design and Chief Animation Director: Akane Yano

The project centers on autonomous mechanical dolls, or automata. They work at Kuronekotei, a coffee shop that sits at the corner of the fifth district of the imperial capital. However, they were originally made as weapons for a great war that ended a few years ago. Now, they have been restored and dressed in shiny kimonos.
