Hot: “One Punch Man” is about to get a live-action Hollywood version!
Hollywood has officially named “One Punch Man” in its list of live-action adaptations. According to exclusive information from Deadline – Nikki Finke’s Hollywood online magazine, it has been confirmed that the anime masterpiece “One Punch Man” will be officially adapted.
Sony Pictures has acquired the film rights from One Punch Man’s publishing company, Shueisha. Arad Productions, who previously contributed to projects such as Venom, Ghost Mantle, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the X men film crew, will produce this live-action project.
Furthermore, Fast & Furious director – Justin Lin, will also become the director of the series.
The series’ script will be written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, the duo who worked on “Jumanji – Fantasy Game: Level Up and Venom”. Production on the film is slated to begin later this year.
Currently, no information about the cast has been announced. It should be re-emphasized that all of Hollywood’s attempt at live-action adaptations of anime to date has mostly been subject to criticism. Two previous live-action works, “Dragon Ball Evolution” and “Death Note”, were rated below average by fans.
